(NaturalNews) The reign of censorship and suppression against vitamin D is now coming to an end. Even though the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and many institutions leading the cancer industry (including the ACS) have intentionally tried to downplay the ability of vitamin D to prevent cancer, a new study appearing in the journal Anticancer Research lays out the simple, powerful truth about vitamin D that we've been teaching at NaturalNews for years: A typical adults needs 4,000 - 8,000 IUs of vitamin D each day to prevent cancer, MS and type-1 diabetes, not the ridiculously low 400 - 800 IUs recommended by the U.S. government.

The new research was conducted by scientists at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha. It is groundbreaking research because it establishes the relationship between vitamin D dosage and circulating vitamin D levels in the blood.

This is a first. It is crucial information for the health care revolution that will be necessary to save states and nations from total health care bankruptcy in the coming years. Vitamin D turns out to be one of the simplest, safest and most affordable ways to prevent degenerative disease and sharply reduce long-term health care costs.

Magnesium & Asthma

The vast majority of us take our breathing for granted and do not consider individuals that have asthma and how they feel when they have an attack and cannot breath. It can be quite terrifying to say the least for it quickly brings on the feeling of suffocating. Despite the importance of magnesium in lung physiology, its efficacy in helping asthmatics control and even eliminate their symptoms is typically and tragically ignored.

Typical Asthma medications may have saved a person’s day many times but their actions come with a steep price. The more you use these medications the more a person becomes subjected to their side effects. It should be obvious that when magnesium deficiencies are not addressed the need for pharmaceutical asthma medications will increase leaving a person or child even more vulnerable. Magnesium losses are notorious for occurring as a result of the drugs used specifically for asthma that open airways and reduce inflammation.

WASHINGTON -- The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center, a special-needs school in Canton that disciplines students with electric shocks, used a sophisticated lobbying campaign in Congress last year to help defeat a ban of its controversial techniques, according to recently released public documents.

AIDS: CD4 T-Cell Test is a Measure of Fat

| | Comments (1)

CD4 T-cell count is one of the main measures used to decide whether to start someone with a positive HIV test on medication or not. But is CD4 really a measure of anything to do with immunity, or is it another one of those widely known but poorly understood parameters we find in Aids literature?

Aids itself is a matter of definition, and there are several diverging ones... There is no valid test to detect a virus, just as there is no consolidated theory of how that virus causes weakening of the immune system. It is said that HIV "kills CD4 T-cells", but no mechanism for this has been proposed. And finally, those "life saving" drugs given to those who "test positive" are making patients sick and are even killing them.

Cal Crilly has been following the biological debate around what causes Aids and what makes people sick or healthy in the face of trouble with their immune system. His latest foray is into the area of CD4 T-cells and what they mean for our health ... and he has a surprising new insight to share...

In a 6-2 decision, the Supreme Court voted to protect pharmaceutical companies from liability when their vaccines cause debilitating injuries and death. The high court majority considers vaccines “unavoidably unsafe” and was worried about drug makers being sued and obligated to compensate their vaccine victims. Instead of opting to protect children, the Supreme Court chose to safeguard the financial interests of the multi-billion dollar vaccine industry.

"In fact, no one in the medical industry is a bigger offender when it comes to mistreatment than those of us in psychiatry."

With a few exceptions, when physicians talk, they recommend. Take this. Try that. They satisfy the expectation that automatically comes with a patient’s visit or phone call. The physician is compelled to make a recommendation — a pill, a device or a procedure. Both the physician and medical supplier financially benefit. But is your doctor’s advice always in your best interest?

Not always.

(NaturalNews) Fevers are actually the body's way of fighting bacterial infections. So many parents think that they are doing the right thing by rushing for medication to try to 'break' the fever when it strikes, but in actual fact, this is doing a lot more harm than good. Studies have found that aspirin and other fever-reducing medications actually suppress the production of antibodies, thus resulting in the infection lasting for up to 50% longer than it should.

On average, a body temperature of 37C/98.6F is considered 'normal.' This doesn't take into account the fact that children are generally warmer than adults. Recent exercise, dressing too warmly, consuming hot foods, and even the menstrual cycle in teenage girls can cause the body temperature to rise by a degree or two.

Fevers tend to hit their highest point at late afternoon, so if your child's body temperature is slightly higher than normal at that time, it is generally no cause for panic. But if your child awakens and has a low-grade fever, you may want to encourage him/her to stay at home and get some rest, so that the fever can do its job of fighting any infections which may be present.

The ingredient that gives cannabis its "high" and famously whets the appetite can help cancer patients recover lost pleasure in food, according to a study published on Wednesday.

Researchers in Canada enrolled 21 patients who had been treated with chemotherapy for advanced cancer, and gave them either capsules containing THC -- delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive chemical in cannabis -- or dummy lookalike pills.

The volunteers took the tablets for 18 days, and were asked to fill in questionnaires.

Seventy-three percent of those who took the THC reported an increased liking for food and 55 percent said the medication "made food taste better". In the placebo group, these figures were only 30 percent and 10 percent.

(NaturalNews) The "caramel coloring" used to color all the top cola brands isn't natural caramel coloring at all. Instead, it's made by reacting sugars with ammonia and sulfites at high temperatures. This reaction results in the formation of 2-methylimidazole and 4-methylimidazole, both of which are chemicals documented by the U.S. government to cause cancer in mammals.

This is all coming to light thanks to an effort by the CSPI, which has now filed a regulatory petition to ban these chemicals from colas (http://www.cspinet.org/new/20110216...).

The National Toxicology Program has conducted animal studies on these toxic chemicals found in colas, concluding there is "clear evidence" that 2-MI and 4-MI are animal carcinogens.

(NaturalNews) They survived live fire, explosive devices, terror attacks and grueling desert conditions. But upon returning home to seek treatment for the mental anguish that too often accompanies war, U.S. soldiers are now being killed by the pharmaceutical industry in record numbers.

A recent example is found with the late Senior Airman Anthony Mena, who returned home from Baghdad only to be killed by a toxic cocktail of prescription medications in his apartment in the USA. As the New York Times reports, a toxicologist found eight prescription medications in his blood (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/13/u...).

Those drugs included painkillers, sleeping pills, antidepressants and a sedative. The medical examiner concluded that Anthony Mena died of multiple pharmaceutical toxicity. He was only 23 years old.
