(NaturalNews) Airports have become a minefield of health hazards, and an investigation into airport safety has revealed that radiation emitted from various scanning machines is sometimes much higher than intended, putting workers and passengers at serious risk. And while the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) insists that the machines are safe, the agency refuses to release the actual safety inspection reports to back its claim.

Prescription drug advertising can work miracles. With Vioxx, it got 20 million people to pay five times more for a pain reliever that doubled their risk of heart attack.

But advertising may not be working with Merck's Gardasil and GSK's Cervarix, vaccines which protect against Human papillomavirus (HPV), the virus that causes cervical cancer.

According to research presented at the American Association for Cancer Research in Philadelphia last month, women are Just Saying No to the heavily advertised vaccine. And a third won't return after the first inoculation, even though they are supposed to get three.

Report on Clomid study vindicates lawyer's 35-year battle to warn about birth defect risk.

SANTA BARBARA, CA, December 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On July 18, 1975, Terence Mix appeared before an FDA advisory committee to testify about how Clomid (clomiphene citrate) posed a risk of birth defects to the human embryo. He had hoped at the time to draw public attention to the risk and to compel the drug's manufacturer to add a warning to its labeling. Little did he know that it would be another 35 years before his message would reach the general public. But on November 26, 2010, the journal, "Human Reproduction," published over the internet the results of a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that found a significant increased risk with 9 different types of birth defects following use of the popular fertility drug.

California Skywatch watchdog exposes how clandestine NASA-military programs are poisoning the environment, food and water supply

Rosalind Peterson of California Skywatch was a certified U.S.D.A. Farm Service Agency Crop Loss Adjustor working in more than ten counties throughout California. She now spearheads a watchdog group that monitors uncontrolled experimental weather modification programs, atmospheric heating and testing programs, and ocean and atmospheric experimental geoengineering programs Peterson is at the forefront of the chemtrail research field and how the unexplained patterns that scar our skies are “causing detrimental human health effects and environmental degradation.”

In this 1-hour plus video exclusive for Prison Planet.tv members, Peterson reveals how she was first spurred to investigate chemtrails after being alerted to them by someone at the Mendocino County Probation Department. Peterson then began to intensely study the phenomenon and note that aircraft producing the trails would circle the county in a clock-like loop, covering the entire area with a cloudy haze in as little as three hours. Peterson cites NASA studies showing that the chemtrails turn into man-made clouds, exacerbating artificial climate change. However, Peterson states her contention that NASA is attempting to cover-up the true nature of chemtrails and convince people that they are a natural phenomenon, a ruse dutifully parroted by top weather and satellite observatories, who as Peterson explains acknowledge the fact that man-made chemtrails are changing the weather yet still label them as natural weather fronts in their public broadcasts.

Many treatments for depression are no more effective than placebos.

A warning: for people satisfied with their standard depression treatments, debunking myths about them may be troubling. However, for critically-thinking depression sufferers who have not been helped by antidepressants, psychotherapy, or other standard treatments, discovering truths about these treatments can provide ideas about what may actually work for them.

Critical thinkers have difficulty placing faith in any depression treatment because science tells them that these treatments often work no better than placebos or nothing at all, and if one lacks faith in a depression treatment, it is not likely to be effective. In fact, it is belief and faith—or what scientists call “expectations” and the “placebo effect”—that is mostly responsible for any depression treatment working. Critical-thinkers can find a way out of depression when their critical thinking about depression treatments is validated and respected, and they are challenged to think more critically about their critical thinking.

The medical profession continues to kill and injure women with horse urine estrogen replacement therapy (ERT). Advice to use lower-dose estrogen or even bio-identical estrogen is generally ignored and the prescription of choice remains the cancer and heart disease causing horse urine estrogen. It is unlikely that health care costs in this country will ever get under control until doctors are actually held accountable when they kill and injure people with drugs - especially when they continue to prescribe a deadly drug knowing that it causes harm.

The latest study by Stanford researchers analyzed data from 2001-2009. Following the negative results of the horse urine estrogen trial known as the Women's Health Initiative study of 2002, annual prescriptions have dropped from 16.3 million per year down to 6.1 million per year. However, the majority of those are for horse urine estrogen in doses known to cause cancer and heart disease. This is still 1 billion dollars in sales of a drug known to injure and kill.

– Millions at Risk Says New Report –

CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla., Nov. 24, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new risk assessment report submitted by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology this month to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns that mercury from dental fillings is estimated to cause 67.2 million Americans to exceed the Reference Exposure Level (REL) of 0.3 ug/m3 established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) in 1995. If the more protective REL of 0.03 ug/m3 established in 2008 by the California Environmental Protection Agency is used, then the current safe-dose is probably exceeded by 122.3 million Americans.

Dental fillings referred to by dentists as "amalgam" or "silver" are actually 50% mercury. A 2006 Zogby poll indicated that 76% of Americans were not aware that silver fillings are half mercury.

Dr. Russell Blaylock M.D. is a retired neurosurgeon and author whose trailblazing research has tirelessly documented the fact that there is an epidemic of neurological disorders in the western world which are directly connected to toxins in our environment, and how this relates to the larger global eugenics program behind population reduction. In this fascinating interview, Blaylock reveals how depopulation programs forged by the Rockefeller foundation in association with the Nazis were the basis of modern day incarnations of eugenics like fluoride poisoning and vaccinations.

Vitamin D targets increased

| | Comments (3)

ScienceNews

By Nathan Seppa

But some scientists say new recommendations are still way too low

A scientific panel has called for tripling the recommended dietary allowance of vitamin D among people ages 9 to 50 and increasing the amount slightly for people older than that. The committee of scientists, convened by the National Academies' Institute of Medicine, also doubled the upper level of vitamin D that people that age can safely take in any given day from 2,000 international units to 4,000 IU.

The panel also bumped up calcium targets, a less controversial move. The report, requested by the U.S. and Canadian governments, was released November 30.

Vitamin D recommendations hadn't been changed since 1997. And despite a wave of studies suggesting that the "sunshine vitamin" has benefits going far beyond bone health, the panel restricted its rationale to just that. Apart from aiding bone fitness, the panel said, the benefits of vitamin D "are currently not supported by evidence that could be judged either convincing or adequate." The report authors cited a lack of cause-and-effect data from vitamin D studies of other purported benefits and said those studies didn't clearly delineate the doses needed to achieve the benefits.

Food Matters

201011291003.jpg

Food additives have been used for centuries to enhance the appearance and flavor of food and prolong shelf life. But do these food additives really "add" any value to your food?

Food additives find their way into our foods to help ease processing, packaging and storage. But how do we know what food additives is in that box of macaroni and cheese and why does it have such a long shelf life?

A typical American household spends about 90 percent of their food budget on processed foods, and are in doing so exposed to a plethora of artificial food additives, many of which can cause dire consequences to your health.

Some food additives are worse than others. Here's a list of the top food additives to avoid:
